Contactless defects detection using modulated photoluminescence technique: model for a single shockley-read-hall trap in a semiconductor thin layer

HIGHLIGHTS What: The authors focus on the use of a contactless frequency domain technique: modulated photoluminescence (MPL), and show its potential to detect defects. In line with this preceding work, the goals of this article are (i) to verify the analytical calculation by parametric numerical studies, (ii) to take into account the effect of the defect density on the V-Shape appearance, (iii) to extend the study to undoped materials. It is then possible to choose three of them, and the resolution the authors develop further will use equations and_( 3 ) and_( 4 ). At this point of this article, the authors aim to further investigate the appearance of V-Shapes and Monotonic-Shapes in a given material. Analyzing the impact of simulated nitrogen deposition on stoichiometric properties and yield of ma bamboo (dendrocalamus latiflorus munro) shoots, leaves, and soil substrate

HIGHLIGHTS What: This study seeks to provide a theoretical basis for the adaptive cultivaand limiting nutrients. For the the potted potted bamboo bamboo plants plants used used in in the our experiments, experiments, soil soil samples samples were were collected collected For at three different shoot stages, and relevant parameters were measured. The authors focused on analyzing the plant-soil stoichiometry of Ma bamboo within a singular region. This study examines the stoichiometric characteristics of leaf and shoot tissues of Ma bamboo under varying nitrogen application levels to simulate the nitrogen deposition mechanism during Ma bamboo growth. Who: Yuwei Lin and colleagues from the Forestry College, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fuzhou, China have published the Article: Analyzing the Impact of Simulated Nitrogen Deposition on Stoichiometric Properties and Yield of Ma Bamboo (Dendrocalamus latiflorus Munro) Shoots, Leaves, and Soil Substrate, in the Journal...

An alternative semi-autotropic hydroponics (sah) substrate for cassava rapid propagation: a first study case

HIGHLIGHTS What: The authors evaluated the growth parameters and cutting production of cassava genotypes during three subsequent plantlet production cycles using three single substrates namely KlasmannTS3 (K) vermiculite (V) and local peat (P) and three blended substrates. Who: Mamy Makumbu Binzunga et al. from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Bukavu-Kalambo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Nairobi, Kenya, International Institute of Agriculture, Ibadan, Nigeria have published the research work: An alternative Semi-Autotropic Hydroponics (SAH) substrate for cassava rapid propagation: A first study case, in the Journal: PLOS ONE of January/28,/2024 SUMMARY The blended substrates are the combination of_(i) KlasmannTS3 and local peat at respective rates of 25% and 75% (K25P75), (ii) vermiculite and local peat at respective rates of 10% and 90% (V10P90), and_(iii) vermiculite and local peat at Alter...

Techno-economic evaluation of csp–pv hybrid plants with heat pump in a temperature booster configuration

HIGHLIGHTS What: In this work the coupling of a CSP and a PV plant using a heat pump (HP) was analyzed due to the higher efficiency of heat pumps. This system constitutes the primary focus of this study, presenting novel findings not previously documented in the literature. The study showed that CSP-PV hybrid plants are an economically interesting option, enabling the adjustment of feed-in according to demand. The study showed the side heat exchanger of the HP in series. Who: Javier Iñigo-Labairu and colleagues from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the paper: Techno-Economic Evaluation of CSP-PV Hybrid Plantswith Heat Pump in a Temperature Booster Configuration, in the Journal: Energies 2024, 17, x FOR PEER REVIEW of /2024/ How: The results indicated that the hottest regions were located on the electric rod surface behind the last baffle. Subsequently a comparison of all the technologies included in the study was carried out using reference costs. SUMMARY The output of ...

Development and initial testing of a virtual laboratory for the build up and testing of microgrid management algorithms

HIGHLIGHTS What: The work presented in this paper provides additional capabilities such as the possibility to store the data exchanged between laboratories in time series and relational databases, the possibility to use REST API-based communications and dashboard and alerting applications. The aim of this module is to manage a charging point in a versatile and modular way, taking into account the possibility of supplying an ultrafast charge or multiple fast charges, alternatively, and the eventual integration of a distributed generation point (photovoltaic plant) serving the same charging station.
